New Design & Interface
Although the interface will look fairly similar, Ford’s latest version of the SYNC® system is far more advanced than SYNC®3. Thanks to greater machine learning capability, the SYNC® 4 system is able to more accurately curate content and make recommendations.
The most notable difference in design is the screen. Multitaskers will love the 12-inch touchscreen that can be split into windows, allowing them to cue up a new playlist while keeping their navigation route visible. Larger 15.5-inch vertical screens are available on select models as well.

Hands Free Calling

This safety feature uses your connected, Bluetooth-paired phone to call 9-1-1 if you’ve been in an accident – even if you can’t reach the screen. 911 Assist® will automatically inform first responders of your location before allowing you to speak directly to the dispatcher. Even if you can’t respond, 911 Assist will ensure help is on the way.
Navigation & Traffic
Cloud-based navigation provides helpful updates on traffic, helping you map your route in real time. Plus, with cord-free WiFi, connect with apps like Waze, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto – and put the fun back in getting there! From navigation assistance to infotainment system, SYNC® 4 has you covered!
